Soda Sanayii A.Ş. is established.
Kromsan Chromium Chemicals Plant is established under the name ÇUKROMSAN.
Kromsan Chromium Chemicals Plant merged with Soda Sanayii A.Ş.
Soda Plant acquired TSE - ISO 9002 Quality Assurance Certificate.
Kromsan Plant acquired TSE - ISO 9002 Quality Assurance Certificate.
Soda production capacity increased with startup of the first phase of the two phased expansion project for Soda Plant
Şişecam Bulgaria Ltd. is established n order to be effective in Bulgaria and the regional markets and represent Şişecam's interests in the region.
Old technology for the production of Sodium Bichromate in Kromsan Plant is left and the new no-lime technology "developed in-house" started up. Capacity increase and standard of Western producers are acquired.
Shares of Soda Sanayi A.Ş. started to be traded in Istanbul Stock Exchange following a successful launch.

2004
Agreement for a partnership has been decided upon with Cromital Spa of Italy, in important leather chemicals market, to increase cooperation.
2005
Mersin Soda plant has started using natural gas in production, as the first industrial plant in the region. This transition to a clean fuel has resulted in creating positive externalities for the plant itself and its surroundings.
2005
Kromsan has been awarded the 2005 project prize in Responsible Care Competition organized by the Turkish Chemical Industry Associaton for a project in this category. The project also participated in the competition organized by Cefic.
 
 
Production started at Soda Sanayii A.Ş.
Kromsan Chromium Chemicals Plant started to operation.
CAMSAR Sanayi Ara Malları Pazarlama A.Ş. (Industrial Intermediates Marketing Company) is established for sales and marketing of Soda and Chromium products within Turkey and abroad.
Leather Chemicals Development Laboratory is set up in Tuzla and chromium chemicals development and technical services activities started.
Şişecam became a production joint venture partner to Sodi, Bulgarian Synthetic Soda Ash Plant, with Solvay (Belgium) and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) within the coverage of privatization. Following this partnership Solvay; EBRD and ŞİŞECAM converted Solvay Sisecam Holding A.G., located in Austria, into a holding company.
Chromic Acid production plant started up within the structure of Kromsan Chromium Chemicals Plant.
Second phase of the two phased expansion project of Soda Plant started up.
Marketing, development and management organizations for soda products and chromium chemicals are united under the name of Management and Sales Headquarters within the structure of Soda Sanayii A.Ş.
Kromsan Plant shut down sodium sulphide plant. Marketing of the product continues based on import.

2004
In China, which happens to be one of the foremost chemicals market in the world, a restructured sales organization has increased sales and market share.
2005
A 50:50 joint-venture with Cromital has been established in July 2005 in the most important leather chemicals market Italy.

Soda plant and Kromsan plant acquired ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Quality Certificates.
