Soda Sanayii A.Ş. carries out its production activities at Soda and Kromsan Plants in Mersin.

Chemicals Group Headqurters is located in Istanbul where Management and Marketing & Sales services are also directed.

Products of Soda Plant; heavy soda ash, light soda ash, technical and food grade sodium bicarbonate and sodium silicate serve to diverse industrial sectors such as glass, detergents, chemicals, paper, textile, food and animal feed.

Kromsan Plant is the main supplier of leather, metal plating and wood protection industries as well as many others with its products; sodium bichromate, basic chromium sulphate, chrome syntan and chromic acid.

In 1969, when the construction of Soda Plant started, this was one of the most extensive industrial investments in those years. Soda Sanayii A.Ş. was established in 1975 with the beginning of industrial scale production of synthetic soda ash.

The Kromsan Factory was set up in 1979 under the name Çukromsan and subsequently taken over by Türkiye ŞiŞe ve Cam Fabrikaları A.Ş. in 1982. Test production started in 1984 and and the company merged with Soda Sanayii A.Ş. in 1986.

The Soda and Kromsan Plants, carry out their activities on a 3 million square meters site which includes areas for raw material resources, warehouses and production facilities. These plants, by taking their capacities into consideration are within the leading facilities on a global scale.

Soda Sanayii A.Ş. has equity investments in a number of other Şişecam Companies, specifically Denizli Cam Sanayii A.Ş., Camiş Elektrik Üretim A.Ş., Oxyvit Kimya Sanayii ve Ticaret A.Ş., Solvay Şişecam Holding A.G. and Şişecam Bulgaria Ltd.
